The McKenzie method is a therapeutic treatment and assessment method specifically for spine and extremity pain that is internationally acclaimed. It involves patient engagement and education to reach an accurate diagnosis and treat pain in the neck, back, and extremities. With an initial assessment, a McKenzie trained clinician will be able to determine whether this method will be effective for each specific patient. The McKenzie method involves four steps: Assessment, Classification, Treatment, and Prevention in order to fully understand the unique issue, prescribe treatment exercises, and minimize the risk of recurrence.
